The X-Files?

I was watching the x-files a bit ago and with 5 minutes left, it started rainig and the TV signal went out. It was the episode with the litlle girl as the reincarnated police office, and the signal stopped when Mulder and Sullie were about to go into the man's house. Can someone tell me what happened?
