Avast has detected virus how to delete the virus?

My avast has detected virus file.How to delete the virus? In that there is many options like (Repair : move to chest : Delete : Do nothing) In this if i clicked the delete on means the avast deleted the file itself For Ex:-If the autorun.inf file is infected means if i gave delete means that autorun.inf file itself deleted then what i want to give i want to delete the virus alone.Please some one help me to this question!!!
