Would you comment on a wild life poem inspired by a wild life poem?

I was visualizing it being a lion family - real early in the poem. Didn't have to wait until the last "kicker" line - it made it great fun to know beforehand. You gave away hints - that all scream lion - like "doing nothing" and of course, "growled". Well done. I was a bit uncomfortable with "lazed lazily" - but, I guess, it works - kept wanting to see "dozed lazily" or something ♥
