Am i hopeless when it comes to ....?

Ok every girl who i ever liked didn't like me back then last year i had one girl just lead me on and the other i fell for like a ton of bricks. She did like me. Lets call her "cara". Anyways we talked for hours online sometimes and i went to go hang out with her at her track meets sometimes. Anyways she was really shy and so am i but i tried to know her better. Things went wrong somehow and we stoped talking over most the summer. Then when school started up we started talking again a little and then when i try to text her or something she always has an excuse not to talk to me. So my ? is am i a hopeless romantic?
